## Synopsis

Bandidos (2024-2025) is a Mexican action adventure series created by Pablo Tébar for Netflix. Miguel Morales (Alfonso Dosal) leads a gang of skilled misfits who venture to uncover a long-hidden Mayan treasure, and the group's strategy is hazy while their dynamic is strained. Ester Expósito plays Liliana Gómez Espinoza, Mabel Cadena plays Inés Reyes Santiago, and Juan Pablo Medina plays Wilson Morales, each adding friction and loyalty to the crew. The engine of the series is the hunt itself: each episode builds around a new obstacle, a new clue, or a new double-cross, while the crew improvises its way forward using ingenuity rather than polished planning. The show spans two seasons of seven episodes each, forming one continuing treasure-hunt story rather than standalone cases. Its setting draws on modern Mexico and the ancient Mayan world that the treasure belongs to, giving the adventure a sun-bleached, rugged texture. The tone is brisk and playful, with action set pieces, banter, and a sense of risk, sitting in the vein of Money Heist and classic treasure-hunting adventures such as Indiana Jones. Fans of heist ensembles and Latin American crime thrillers will find resonance here.
