## Synopsis

The Manny (2023-2025) is a Mexican Spanish-language romantic comedy series created for Netflix, produced by La Granja TV Narrative and running three seasons across 26 episodes. Busy executive Jimena Lemus (Sandra Echeverría) hires Gabriel Padilla (Iván Amozurrutia), a rancher with no experience in city life, to look after her children in a moment of panic. The engine of each episode is the friction between their worlds: a corporate professional who schedules everything and a countryman who answers domestic chaos with patience and blunt honesty. Her children, including Santiago (Alexander Tavizón) and Sofía (Cassandra Iturralde), push both adults into awkward situations that test their habits and prejudices. The story turns on the couple's slow, reluctant attraction while each has to question old views about gender roles and what it means to love someone. Set in contemporary Mexico, the series moves between office life and a family home where the routines keep breaking down. Its tone is light, warm and breezy, with a sincere heart beneath the banter. Fans of The Hating Game, Mrs. Doubtfire and Crazy Rich Asians will find similar pleasures in opposites attract romance and comedy of domestic upheaval.
