## Synopsis

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! (2024-present) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series created as a light novel adaptation and broadcast on Gunma TV, TOKYO MX, BS11 and Tochigi TV, produced by A-1 Pictures. The story follows the girls on the losing side of romance: Anna Yanami, a girl-next-door who cannot resist delicious food, athlete Lemon Yakishio, whose spirit is as bright as her talent, and the shy, gentle Chika Komari. Their fellow student Kazuhiko Nukumizu sits at the center of their awkward triangles, and the engine of each episode is a small romantic setback that leaves the heroines hoping to finally find love. Episodes are self-contained school-life vignettes built from classroom moments, friendship, and the quiet sting of rejection, so viewers can dip in at any point. Its tone is light, warm, and affectionate, with a shining sense of resilience in defeat that keeps the comedy from turning bitter. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Rent-a-Girlfriend will find resonance in its romantic rivalry, slice of life pacing, and sincere take on unrequited feelings. The series is a single season of twelve episodes and is still listed as a returning series.
