## Synopsis

Your Friends & Neighbors (2025-present) is an American dark comedy crime drama created by Jonathan Tropper for Apple TV. Jon Hamm plays Andrew 'Coop' Cooper, a financial titan who, after being fired and divorced, begins robbing the wealthy neighbors in his own social circle to keep his life afloat. Amanda Peet plays his ex-wife Mel Cooper, and Olivia Munn plays Samantha 'Sam' Levitt, whose entanglements add to the pressure as the schemes grow more dangerous. The engine of the show is Coop's escalating double life: each episode layers a new theft, a new lie told over a dinner party or a backyard barbecue, and a new complication that threatens to expose him. Its shape is a serialized run, currently two seasons, with the story moving steadily forward rather than resetting each week. Set in contemporary affluent American suburbia, the series carries the glossy surfaces of wealth alongside the anxieties of a post financial crisis world. Its tone mixes sardonic humor with a growing sense of dread and moral unease, so the comedy keeps undercutting the stakes even as they rise. Fans of Breaking Bad, Dexter and Shameless will find resonance in its flawed everyman, darkly comic escalation and sharp class satire.
