## Synopsis

Perfect Propose (2024) is a Japanese television miniseries broadcast on Fuji TV, adapted from a manga and running six half-hour episodes. Watari Hirokuni (Shunya Kaneko), a severely overworked man who can barely function outside his toxic workplace, is the protagonist, and his life begins to shift when he encounters Fukaya Kai (Kouta Nomura), a childhood friend he once promised to marry. Kai's motives stay unclear as the two become roommates, and the story follows Hiro slowly regaining a sense of purpose through everyday domestic routines, cooking, and the rebuilding of an old bond. Supporting roles include Ayane Kinoshita as Hiyori and Jingi Irie as Kaneko. Each episode is a gentle, intimate tale built on small moments of care rather than grand events. The atmosphere is warm and wistful, with a quietly hopeful undercurrent beneath the loneliness of overwork. Fans of Given and Midnight Diner will find resonance in its tender romance and its portrait of healing through ordinary life in a Japanese city.
