## Synopsis

Toma Lá, Dá Cá (2007-2009) is a Brazilian situational comedy created by Miguel Falabella and Maria Carmem Barbosa for TV Globo. Its premise is simple: two couples share a single apartment building and cannot stop poking into each other's business. Miguel Falabella plays Mário Jorge Dassoin, opposite Adriana Esteves as Célia Regina Rocha Dassoin, known as Celinha, while Diogo Vilela as Arnaldo Moreira and Marisa Orth as Rita de Almeida Dassoin Moreira form the neighboring pair. Alessandra Maestrini's Bozena Kuznetsovsky adds a sharp comic foil to the ensemble. The engine of the show is the constant friction between the households, where small rivalries, misunderstandings and domestic schemes escalate into lively episode-long mishaps. Across three seasons and 91 episodes, the series keeps its focus on everyday squabbles rather than a larger overarching plot. Its tone is breezy, warm and cheerfully bickering, with a light touch that suits casual viewing. Fans of Friends and A Grande Familia will find a familiar resonance in its neighborly humor and family-centered comedy.
