## Synopsis

Valle salvaje (2024-2026) is a Spanish national-television period soap opera created by Josep Cister Rubio for La 1. Set in 1763, it follows Adriana, a brave and loyal woman played by Rocío Suárez, who must leave Madrid after her father's death to marry a stranger in Valle Salvaje, a remote valley in northern Spain. A dark secret from her past follows her into the valley, where her fiancé's family and her troubled aunt Doña Victoria, played by Sabela Arán, live under their own hidden loyalties. Principal cast also includes Manuela Velasco as Pilara and José Manuel Seda as José Luis. The engine of the series is Adriana's pursuit of the truth behind her father's death while she navigates true love, betrayal and danger in a household that keeps its secrets closely. Each episode is built from family confrontations, romantic entanglements and the slow unveiling of old lies, unfolding across four seasons and hundreds of episodes in a continuing serialized story. Its tone is melodramatic and sincere, with a heightened emotional register and a gothic atmosphere of isolated stone houses and rural estates. Fans of Downton Abbey, Gran Hotel and Il Segreto will find resonance in its blend of period costume, romance and soapy suspense.
