## Synopsis

Iron Reign (2024) is a Spanish crime drama miniseries created by Lluís Quílez for Netflix. Eduard Fernández plays Joaquín Manchado, a drug lord who rules his cocaine empire from Barcelona's seaport with an iron fist, while Sergi López plays his brother Román and Enric Auquer plays his son Ricardo. Chino Darín plays Víctor Julve and Jaime Lorente plays Néstor, two figures drawn into the trafficking world, and Natalia de Molina plays Rocío Manchado within the family's orbit. The engine of the story is a single new shipment that pushes business and family relations into a spiral, forcing every character to choose between loyalty and self preservation as violence and mistrust mount. Across eight episodes of roughly sixty-seven minutes each, the series builds a serialized, tightly plotted limited run around shifting alliances, dangerous logistics and the cost of maintaining power. Its tone is tense, bleak and morally corrosive, with a gritty, grounded texture rooted in the port city's commercial underworld. Fans of Narcos, Gomorrah and Ozark will find resonance in its portrait of a criminal dynasty coming apart from within.
