## Synopsis

Fate (2025) is a Spanish comedy drama series created by Paco Plaza, Pablo Guerrero, Borja González Santaolalla and Diana Rojo for Disney+. Across a single six-episode season of roughly half-hour episodes, taxi driver David (Ricardo Gómez) takes a job chauffeuring El Maestro (Óscar Jaenada), a famous bullfighter trying to stage a comeback after years away from the ring. The engine of the show is the odd pairing: David needs steady work and a place in a life he has not chosen, while El Maestro carries the pressure of a fading legend who must face the arena again. Their rides through Spanish cities become the stage for conversations that move between bravado, doubt and quiet confession, as El Maestro begins to see David as a good luck charm. The tone is warm and wry, with bittersweet undertones about ambition, aging and the rituals that keep a person going. Fans of The Bear, Ted Lasso and Shrinking will find resonance in its humane comedy and its focus on an unlikely friendship. Set in present-day Spain, it is a short, self-contained watch with a gentle, character-first heart.
