## Synopsis

Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (2024) is a Chinese web drama romantic fantasy series created by Bai Yu Zhai Diao Gong and distributed on Tencent Video. Yu Shuxin plays Ling Miaomiao, who wakes up inside the pages of a fantasy novel to find herself cast as a villain, and Ding Yuxi plays Mu Sheng, a figure tangled up in her fate. Supporting roles from Zhu Xudan as Mu Yao and Yang Shize as Liu Fuyi add rivalry and sibling tension to the court. The engine of the story is her struggle to escape the destiny written for her, which means scheming against rivals, dodging attempted murders, and reshaping the relationships the original text assigned to her. The season is a single run of 32 forty-three-minute episodes, built as one continuing story rather than standalone episodes. Set in an invented historical-fantasy realm of palaces and ancient politics, the series blends costume drama with romance, sparring and banter giving way to tender feeling. Its tone is witty and suspenseful with a hopeful undercurrent. Viewers who enjoy The Untamed, Story of Yanxi Palace and Eternal Love will find similar resonance in its mix of court intrigue and romantic fantasy.
