## Synopsis

Madeline (1988-2001) is a Canadian, French and American animated children's comedy series created by Ludwig Bemelmans and broadcast on ABC, Disney Channel and The Family Channel. Adapted from Bemelmans' beloved picture books, it follows Madeline, a fearless little girl at a boarding school in Paris, whose impulsive adventures repeatedly leave her friends and teachers worried. Her classmates, the Pepito character among them, and the caring Miss Clavel form the core of an ensemble that turns each small mishap into a lesson about courage and friendship. Voiced by Andrea Libman and Tracey Lee Smythe in the title role, with Stevie Vallance as Miss Clavel and Christopher Plummer as the storytelling narrator, the show spans three seasons and sixty-five episodes. Each self-contained half-hour episode unfolds like a picture book come to life, with the warm narration guiding viewers through playful, mischievous escapades. The overall mood is gentle, whimsical and cozy, a comforting family watch in the vein of Babar and Angelina Ballerina, where young viewers will find the same bright storybook charm and gentle humor.
