## Synopsis

Melo Movie (2025) is a South Korean romantic comedy miniseries created by Oh Choong-hwan and Lee Na-eun for Netflix. Choi Woo-shik plays Ko Gyeom, a movie buff who falls hard for Kim Moo-bi, played by Park Bo-young, an aspiring director whose ambitions pull her in her own direction. Their romance fizzles out far too soon, and the ten hour long episodes follow the aftermath, as the two keep crossing paths and must confront what they still feel. Lee Jun-young and Jeon So-nee fill out the surrounding circle of rivals, friends and former lovers, so each episode widens the focus from couples to friendships, family ties and the messy work of breakups and moving on. Built as a self-contained arc rather than a long-running saga, the series stays close to its central pair and the everyday texture of Seoul's creative scene, where film sets, scripts and late-night talks shape the emotional beats. Its tone is wistful and witty, sincere without being saccharine, with a warm affection for cinema running through the romance. Fans of Crash Landing on You, Mr. Queen and Begin Again will find the same mix of playful banter, bittersweet longing and hopeful reconnection.
