## Synopsis

Malice (2025) is a British psychological thriller miniseries created by James Wood for Prime Video. Jack Whitehall plays Adam Healey, a charming tutor who infiltrates the household of a wealthy family, while David Duchovny plays Jamie Tanner and Carice van Houten plays Nat Tanner, the parents whose polished domestic life becomes the stage for his concealed plan. Teddie Allen as April Tanner and Phoenix Laroche as Dexter Tanner round out the family at the center of the unfolding story. The engine of the series is the gap between what the tutor shows and what he intends, as every ordinary household routine becomes a place where suspicion can take root. Its six episodes of roughly fifty-one minutes each build a continuous mystery in which information arrives in careful increments and each conversation seems to carry a second meaning. The atmosphere is tense and unsettling, with a controlled, watchful register that rewards close attention. Fans of The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Servant and Ripley will find resonance in its patient menace, class-tinged unease and charm turned into a weapon. The production is a single-season limited run that was canceled after its first season, leaving its central story open.
