## Synopsis

See You in Another Life (2024) is a Spanish crime thriller miniseries created by Alberto Sánchez-Cabezudo and Jorge Sánchez-Cabezudo for Disney+. Told in six episodes of roughly forty-four minutes, it follows Gabriel Montoya Vidal, known as Baby, played in youth by Roberto Gutiérrez and as an adult by Quim Àvila Conde. The story braids two timelines, one following his childhood in a rough Madrid neighborhood with his mother (Tamara Casellas) and the other his adult life, as his past keeps pulling him back toward the criminal world. Pol López plays Emilio Trashorras, and Mourad Ouani appears as El Chino, figures whose choices shape the escalating danger. The engine of the series is a man trying to outrun a history he cannot leave behind, with each thread tightening toward the shadow of the March 11, 2004 attacks on the Cercanías commuter network in Madrid. The tone is tense, brooding and emotionally bruised, with a sober, grounded treatment of a real national tragedy. Fans of Chernobyl, Dark and La casa de papel will find resonance in its blend of historical weight, fractured chronology and propulsive crime storytelling. It is a limited series that rewards close attention and sustained focus.
