## Synopsis

Mahsun J (2024-2025) is a Turkish urban comedy series created by Abdullah Özgenç and produced for the streaming platform Exxen, running two seasons and 21 episodes of roughly 40 minutes each. Mahsun Karaca plays Mahsun, a motorcycle courier in Istanbul buried in debt who stumbles onto a surprising talent and reinvents himself as a gigolo. Eda Akalın plays Leyla, his friend and a failed advertising executive who becomes his unlikely manager, pushing schemes that keep spiraling out of control. Supporting roles include Mehtap Özdemir as Deniz and Tuğçe Yolcu as Bahar, rounding out a circle of clients, acquaintances and street-level characters. Each episode is built from the pair's hustles, misjudged deals and money pressure, with the bustle of traffic, cramped apartments and nightlife giving the city a gritty, lived-in texture. The tone is irreverent and frank, mixing sharp banter with melancholy about precarity and the cost of living on credit. The show stays on the adult side of comedy, with explicit subject matter and strong language. Fans of Shameless and Hustlers will find resonance in its scrappy characters and morally slippery humor, and viewers of Ezel will recognize the Istanbul backdrop and working-class grit. Its brisk, self-contained episodes make it easy to dip into.
