## Synopsis

Return to Paradise (2024-present) is an Australian ABC TV crime series created by Peter Mattessi, Robert Thorogood, James Hall and Fredsters. Detective Inspector Mackenzie Clarke (Anna Samson) is forced out of London under a cloud of suspicion and back to Dolphin Cove, the seaside hometown she long hoped never to see again. Her tenacity and dogged work ethic drive each case, while her working partner DSC Colin Cartwright (Lloyd Griffith) and the local Senior Sergeant Philomena Strong (Catherine McClements) help her untangle the murders that surface in the close-knit community. Each episode is a self-contained murder investigation built on local gossip, small town secrets and the friction of old acquaintances, with a small cast of recurring characters. Across its two seasons the show is a cheerful, cosy crime drama with a warm coastal atmosphere, a light touch on violence and a gently comic streak. Fans of Death in Paradise, Midsomer Murders and Murder, She Wrote will find the same comfort in sunny village mysteries where justice and community ties go hand in hand.
