## Synopsis

The Littles (1983-1985) is an American-Canadian-French animated children's series created by Jean Chalopin, Jim Schumann and John Peterson for ABC. Adapted from John Peterson's children's novels, it follows a family of tiny people who secretly live inside the walls of a human household, where everyday objects become obstacles and resources in their quiet struggle to stay hidden. The show runs three seasons totaling twenty-nine episodes, each a self-contained, episodic adventure built around small domestic dangers and the close bonds of a miniature family. Produced by DIC Entertainment with animation outsourced to Japan's TMS Entertainment, it carries the look and warmth of 1980s Saturday morning cartoons. Its tone is gentle, playful and reassuring, with an emphasis on loyalty, ingenuity and home. Fans of The Borrowers (1992), The Animated Hobbit and Thumbelina will find similar pleasures in its miniature-world charm and family-friendly wonder. Suitable for young viewers and families seeking an uncomplicated, cozy animated story.
