## Synopsis

Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (2024) is a American investigative documentary miniseries created for Investigation Discovery. Across five episodes of roughly forty-three minutes each, the series gathers testimony from former performers and staff, including Giovonnie Samuels and Alexa Nikolas, who worked on All That and Zoey 101, alongside Marc Summers of Double Dare, writer Rick Ellis, and journalist Kate Taylor of Business Insider. Their accounts drive the engine of the story: how production environments built around young performers allowed adults with authority to hold unchecked power, and what that imbalance cost the people who lived through it. Each episode lays out witness interviews, archival footage, and behind-the-scenes reporting, moving steadily from individual memories toward a broader look at industry practices. The result is a serious, sobering register, with an investigative edge and a grief-tinged sense of reckoning. It is set in the 1990s children's television industry, with its studios and sets as the principal locations. Fans of Leaving Neverland, Surviving R. Kelly and An Open Secret will find resonance in its survivor-centered exposé of entertainment industry abuse.
