## Synopsis

The Gringo Hunters (2025) is a Mexican-American crime thriller series created for Netflix, produced in Spanish and set in present-day Mexico. Beto (Manuel Masalva) and Gloria (Mayra Hermosillo) work within a top Mexican police unit whose job is tracking down American fugitives who flee across the border. Crisanto Navarro (Hector Kotsifakis) and Padre Murphy (Sebastian Roché) add pressure from the edges of the investigations, while Nico (Harold Torres) and Camila (Regina Nava) bring the personal stakes of people caught between loyalty and survival. The engine of the series is a hunt that keeps uncovering a nefarious scheme growing inside the force itself, so every capture raises the question of who can be trusted. Told in a single season of twelve fifty-minute episodes, it plays as one continuing serialized story rather than standalone cases. The tone is tense, gritty and paranoid, with violence and moral compromise underlined by a sense of dread. Fans of Narcos, Sicario and The Wire will find resonance in its crime-soaked atmosphere and its portrait of corruption that reaches the institutions meant to stop it.
