## Synopsis

Prime Target (2025) is a British miniseries created by Steve Thompson for Apple TV. Leo Woodall plays Edward Brooks, a brilliant mathematics graduate student on the verge of a major breakthrough, whose research draws the attention of a shadowy enemy determined to stop him. Fighting for answers and for his own life, Edward joins forces with Taylah Sanders (Quintessa Swindell), a government agent who has her own stakes in unraveling the conspiracy. Around them, Sidse Babett Knudsen plays Professor Andrea Lavin and Stephen Rea plays Professor James Alderman, academics whose loyalties are never simple. The eight-episode run is one continuous story rather than a case of the week, moving from campus corridors to tense covert operations as each episode tightens the pressure. The tone is taut and paranoid, driven by suspicion and ticking-clock urgency, with a cool, precise look that suits its theme of knowledge as a dangerous weapon. Fans of Mr. Robot, Bodyguard and Hannibal will find resonance in its blend of brilliant outsiders, state surveillance and high-stakes intrigue, all held within a single self-contained season that resolves its central conflict.
