## Synopsis

Her Majesty (2025) is a Spanish political comedy series created by Borja Cobeaga and Diego San José for Prime Video. When a scandal involving King Alfonso XVI damages the monarchy's reputation, the king steps back and his irresponsible daughter Princess Pilar, played by Anna Castillo, is left to take over the institution and prove she is up to the task. Her efforts are shaped by royal advisers, including Ernesto Alterio as Guillermo, Pablo Vázquez as Maluenda, and Ramón Barea as Isidro, who tangle her plans with political maneuvering and palace intrigue. The engine of the show is a reckless heir trying to repair a damaged public image while staff, government officials and rivals work against her at every turn. Each short episode follows a new round of crises, press problems and backroom negotiations inside the palace. The series is an ongoing comedy with a satirical, breezy tone, mocking how elites handle scandal and image. Fans of The Thick of It, The Windsors and Veep will find resonance in its sharp dialogue, bureaucratic absurdity and portrait of powerful people who are mostly out of their depth.
