## Synopsis

Chad Powers (2025-present) is an American sports comedy series created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron for Hulu. Glen Powell plays Russ Holliday, a hotshot quarterback whose college career collapsed after one unforgivable mistake eight years earlier. Hoping to revive his dreams, Russ disguises himself as Chad Powers, a talented oddball who walks on to the struggling South Georgia Catfish. Each episode finds him juggling the lie with the demands of a losing locker room, where Perry Mattfeld's Ricky and Steve Zahn's Coach Jake Hudson shape his days. The engine is simple and funny: every practice and game raises the risk that his secret will be exposed, while he tries to earn real respect from teammates who have no idea who he is. The show is brisk and goofy at first, then grows more tense as the stakes sharpen. Its two seasons are short, roughly six episodes each, and the comedy runs on crude jokes, sharp character beats, and small-town football atmosphere. Fans of Ted Lasso, Shrinking, and Necessary Roughness will find resonance in its mix of sports stakes, awkward disguise comedy, and warm underdog spirit.
