## Synopsis

Pulse (2025) is a US Netflix medical drama series created by Zoe Robyn. Set in a Miami hospital, it follows a cohort of ER residents, led by Danielle Simms (Willa Fitzgerald) and Xander Phillips (Colin Woodell), as they handle a steady stream of medical emergencies while their personal lives grow entangled. Tom Cole (Jack Bannon) and Sam Elijah (Jessie T. Usher) add further pressure from the wards, and Harper Simms (Jessy Yates) and Sophie Chan (Chelsea Muirhead) round out the group. The engine of the show is the collision between the demands of residency, with its long shifts and split-second decisions, and a divisive allegation that threatens to fracture the team. Each episode is built around a fresh medical crisis paired with a personal storyline, so the drama moves between operating rooms, break rooms and tense hallway confrontations. Across its single season of ten episodes, the series keeps a brisk, emotionally charged register, mixing urgency with intimacy. Fans of Grey's Anatomy, The Resident and Chicago Med will find familiar resonance in its ensemble of ambitious young doctors navigating ethical strain and loyalty. Its cancellation leaves the central tensions open, giving the season a restless, unfinished shape.
