## Synopsis

Papás por conveniencia (2024-2025) is a Mexican musical telenovela sitcom created by Rosy Ocampo for Las Estrellas. Single father Tino, played by José Ron, is buried in debt and struggling to raise his two children, while Ariadne Díaz plays Aidé, a successful businesswoman and mother of two teenagers who appears to have everything under control. When Tino discovers he is the father of Aidé's children, the two agree to form a blended household largely for practical reasons. Daniela Luján and Martín Ricca play Clara Luz and Rudolf, a couple whose own relationship complicates the shared home, while María Chacón and Miguel Martínez add a further layer of family friction. The engine of the series is the gap between a convenient arrangement and real feeling, and each episode turns on domestic clashes, rivalries over rooms and money, and sung numbers that punctuate the chaos. Across a single season of 80 episodes, the story is a continuous arc rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone is warm, comic and romantic, with a sincere heart beneath the bickering. Fans of Ugly Betty, Modern Family and the classic Yo soy Betty, la fea will find resonance in its mix of melodrama, humor and blended-family comedy.
