## Synopsis

According to Jim (2001-2009) is an American multi-camera family sitcom created by Jonathan Stark and Tracy Newman for ABC. Jim Belushi plays Jim, a boyish, bravado-driven everyman whose antics stir up steady turmoil at home, while Courtney Thorne-Smith plays his wife Cheryl, the steadier half of an opposites attract marriage. Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Larry Joe Campbell, Taylor Atelian, Billi Bruno and Conner Rayburn fill out the household as the couple's children and relatives. Each episode is a self-contained case of everyday misunderstandings, parenting missteps and neighborly friction, built from ordinary domestic situations rather than a serialized plot. Across eight seasons and roughly 180 episodes, the show keeps a warm, breezy, comforting register, with the underlying assurance that this couple is in their marriage for keeps. Its gentle, broadcast-friendly humor will appeal to fans of Home Improvement, Everybody Loves Raymond and Still Standing, who enjoy a bumbling father at the heart of a loving, noisy family.
