## Synopsis

Undercover High School (2025) is a South Korean romantic comedy miniseries created by Im Young-bin and Choi Jeong-in for MBC. Demoted NIS agent Jung Hae-seong (Seo Kang-joon) is sent undercover into a high school to locate King Gojong's missing gold, a mission that quickly becomes awkward when his teacher Oh Su-ah (Jin Ki-joo) sees him as her lost first love and old heartbreak resurfaces. Hae-seong must keep his disguise intact while navigating classroom life, teenage students, and a cast of colleagues who complicate the search. The engine is the tension between a spy trying to stay hidden and a romance that keeps pulling him into the open. Each episode mixes lighthearted school antics with heist-like investigation and quieter moments of longing. The twelve-episode run is a single continuing story with a Korean network sensibility, shaped by the familiar beats of a campus romcom. Its tone is breezy, warm, and comforting, with bursts of action and a wistful undercurrent. Fans of Hwarang and other korean romcom series with spy-comedy energy will find resonance here.
