## Synopsis

The Crow Girl (2025-present) is a British crime drama series created by Milly Thomas for Paramount+. Detective Chief Inspector Jeanette Kilburn (Eve Myles) and eminent psychotherapist Dr. Sophia Craven (Katherine Kelly) form an uneasy alliance to track down the killer of young men. Their investigation pulls them into a dangerous world of historic abuse and murder, where the case seems to reach back through decades of buried secrets. Kilburn brings the methodical grind of police work, with interviews, evidence and dead ends, while Craven reads the damaged minds of suspects and witnesses. Supporting characters include Victoria Burkeman (Clara Rugaard), Mike Dilliston (Elliot Edusah) and Verity Pound (Victoria Hamilton), who each hold pieces of the puzzle. The show spans two seasons and twelve episodes, and is built as one continuing investigation rather than a case of the week. Its tone is tense and brooding, with a bleak undercurrent of institutional betrayal and a slow, sinister build of dread. Viewers who enjoy Line of Duty, Happy Valley and Lewis will find a similar blend of procedural rigour, psychological tension and British crime atmosphere.
