## Synopsis

I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History (2024) is a Japanese animated isekai romantic comedy produced by MAHO FILM and KADOKAWA for TOKYO MX and BS11, a single-season run of thirteen 24-minute episodes. A young woman who scorns the goodie-two-shoes heroines of fantasy stories wakes up reincarnated as Alicia Williams (voiced by Kanna Nakamura), the villainess of her favorite dating sim. Her goal is simple and sincere: become the greatest villainess in history. The obstacle is the story itself, because every cruel scheme she attempts is read by the prince, Duke Seeker (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa), as charming, and the more she schemes the more he falls for her. Supporting characters including Liz Cather (Manaka Iwami), Will (Hiroshi Yanaka) and Henry Williams (Haruki Ishiya) keep the magic school and courtly intrigue lively. Each episode is a self-contained run of misfired plots and escalating misunderstandings, with a light, breezy comedic register and a warm shoujo romance underneath. The fantasy kingdom is an invented world with a cozy, playful feel. Fans of Ascendance of a Bookworm, Snow White with the Red Hair and The Rising of the Shield Hero will find familiar resonance in its reincarnation premise and gentle fantasy romance.
