## Synopsis

Stick (2025) is an American sports comedy-drama series created by Jason Keller for Apple TV. Owen Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, a once-promising golf star whose on-course meltdown derailed his career and left him struggling to stay afloat. Pryce goes all in mentoring Santi, a teenage golf phenom played by Peter Dager, and the pair's partnership becomes a bid for both the boy's potential and Pryce's own second chance. Marc Maron plays Mitts, and Rhea Seehorn appears as Amanda. The engine of the show is practical and funny: a motorhome road trip through the amateur and professional golf circuit, with tournaments, sponsor pressure, and tense practice rounds shaping each episode. The tone blends wry sporting melancholy with warm, sincere humor. Its mood is wistful but hopeful, with a focus on failure, pride, and the messy process of starting over. Fans of Ted Lasso, Breaking In, and Eastbound and Down will find resonance in its flawed underdog heart and its blend of comedy and quiet regret.
