## Synopsis

The Runarounds (2025) is an American coming of age music drama created by Jonas Pate for Prime Video. Its ensemble of young adults, led by Charlie Cooper (William Lipton) and Neil Crosby (Axel Ellis), along with Topher Park (Jeremy Yun) and Bez Willis (Zendé Murdock), comes together the summer after high school graduation to form a rock band. Their engine is simple and urgent: each member must decide whether to accept the pull of jobs, family, and adult expectations or to bet everything on becoming the greatest band they can be. The series unfolds across eight hour-long episodes set in the humid, sun-washed streets of Wilmington, North Carolina, where rehearsals in cramped garages, small club gigs, and money worries shape every season of their lives. Its tone is warm, sincere, and hopeful, with a wistful undercurrent about how fleeting youth can feel. Music is central, so songwriting sessions and live performances carry much of the emotional weight. Fans of Freaks and Geeks and Everybody Hates Chris will find a similar blend of youthful friendship, humor, and bittersweet realism. The show was canceled after its single season, leaving its story unfinished.
