## Synopsis

Untamed (2025) is an American wilderness mystery thriller series created by Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith for Netflix. Eric Bana plays Kyle Turner, a federal agent pulled into the vast expanse of Yosemite National Park after a woman's death, while Sam Neill plays Paul Souter, a figure whose presence complicates every search through the backcountry. Rosemarie DeWitt and Lily Santiago add further principal threads as the investigation tightens around a community that lives by its own rules. The engine of the series is a hunt across rugged terrain where weather, distance, and secrets slow every step, and each episode peels back another layer of a disappearance with personal stakes. Across a single six-episode season, it moves as one continuing mystery rather than a case of the week. Set in the present-day American backcountry, it plays as a grounded, gritty thriller with a raw, unforgiving atmosphere. Fans of Fargo, Twin Peaks and Hell or High Water will find resonance in its isolated landscapes, morally gray characters and slow-building dread.
