## Synopsis

Inspector Rishi (2024) is a Tamil-language Indian crime series created by J. S. Nandhini for Prime Video. Crime branch inspector Rishi Nandhan (Naveen Chandra), a sceptical, one-eyed officer, leads his trusted sub-inspectors Ayyanar (Kanna Ravi) and Chitra (Malini Jeevarathnam) through strange cases that resist ordinary explanation. Each investigation pits meticulous police work against murders that look supernatural or paranormal, forcing the team to test every rational assumption while Rishi fights his own personal battles off duty. The engine is the hunt for truth: he stops at nothing to uncover what really happened behind unexplainable deaths, and the tension comes from whether logic can keep pace with the unknown. Shot with a dark, moody atmosphere and a brooding, eerie register, the series blends procedural crime with mind-bending uncertainty. Its ten episodes of roughly forty-five minutes each form a single season, with the cases and character threads building momentum across the run. Viewers who enjoy the procedural intrigue of Sherlock or the eerie small-town unease of Twin Peaks will find resonance here, along with fans of uncanny crime mysteries generally. The show is rated TV-MA and carries strong graphic and disturbing content.
