## Synopsis

Zenshu (2025) is a Japanese animated fantasy comedy series produced by MAPPA and aired on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations, a single-season run of twelve 24-minute episodes rated TV-14. Animator and director Natsuko Hirose (voiced by Anna Nagase) rockets from high school into a meteoric career, but after her hit anime sparks a social phenomenon, she stalls while storyboarding a first love romantic comedy film, having never felt love herself. Collapsing from overwork, she wakes inside the world of her favorite childhood anime movie, A Tale of Perishing, where she meets the swordsman Luke Braveheart (Kazuki Ura) and the sprite Unio (Rie Kugimiya). The engine of the series is her attempt to find her footing in a fantastical realm that mirrors the creative pressures she left behind, with each episode blending colorful action set pieces, romantic misunderstanding, and sharp gags about overwork and the anime industry. The tone is breezy and self-aware, with a warm, wistful undercurrent about passion and exhaustion. Fans of Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, The Rising of the Shield Hero and Drifting Dragons will find resonance in its mix of creative satire and isekai escapism.
