## Synopsis

Caught (2025) is an Argentine crime thriller miniseries adapted from a novel and released on Netflix. Soledad Villamil plays famed reporter Ema Garay, a woman known for catching criminals who finds her professional instincts tested when the suspect in a teen's disappearance turns out to be someone close to her. Juan Minujín appears as Marcos Brown, and Alberto Ammann as Leo Mercer, both drawn into the tangled investigation alongside Commissioner Herrera (Fernán Mirás), whose cooperation and suspicion complicate every lead. The engine of the series is the pressure between a journalist's hunt for the truth and her loyalty to the people around her, played out across six hour-long episodes that move steadily from one revelation to the next. Set in contemporary Argentina, the show has a tense, claustrophobic atmosphere, with the grit of a city investigation and the emotional weight of a family under strain. Its tone is moody and suspenseful rather than flashy, rooted in character and doubt. Viewers who enjoyed the investigative pressure of The Killing and the prestige miniseries sensibility of Broadchurch will find much to admire here, though the story rewards patient, attentive viewing throughout its single season.
