## Synopsis

Nobody Wants This (2024-present) is a Netflix romantic comedy created by Erin Foster. Kristen Bell plays Joanne Williams, an agnostic sex podcaster whose frank, irreverent show clashes with the expectations of her world, and Adam Brody plays Noah Roklov, a newly single rabbi whose congregation and family keep a close eye on his love life. Their relationship is the engine of the series: the two keep falling for each other while their wildly different lives pull them apart, and each episode builds around dates, misunderstandings, and the constant interference of relatives who have opinions about who Noah should marry. Timothy Simons and Justine Lupe round out the principal cast as Noah's brother Sasha and Joanne's sister Morgan, whose own tangled relationships provide warm counterpoints. The series runs three seasons of ten episodes each and is set in contemporary Los Angeles, its sunny streets and crowded family dinners giving it a breezy, sharp-witted atmosphere. Its tone is heartfelt and offbeat, mixing sex-positive humor with sincere romantic yearning. Fans of When Harry Met Sally, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Younger will find resonance in its opposites-attract chemistry and its affectionate, unsentimental look at modern dating.
