## Synopsis

Murder Mindfully (2024-present) is a German dark crime comedy series created by Karsten Dusse for Netflix, adapted from a novel. Tom Schilling plays Björn Diemel, a mafia lawyer who signs up for a mindfulness class in search of a calmer work-life balance and discovers that violence makes a surprisingly effective coping tool. Around him, Emily Cox as Katharina Diemel, Murathan Muslu as Sascha and Johannes Allmayer as Möller form a web of family pressures and underworld loyalties that keeps pulling him back into criminal dealings. Each episode runs about thirty-three minutes and mixes deadpan office-style domestic chaos with sudden bursts of gangland brutality, so a lawyer's routine errands turn into cover-ups and close calls. The show plays out across two seasons of eight episodes each, with a serialized storyline that rewards watching in order. Its tone is dry, cynical and breezy, and its unlikeable protagonist keeps the audience uneasy. Fans of Lilyhammer, Fargo and Better Call Saul will find kinship in its mix of crime, irony and a respectable professional sliding deeper into the underworld.
