## Synopsis

Ghostbusters (1986) is an American animated supernatural comedy series created by Marc Richards and produced by Filmation Associates for syndication. Jake Kong Jr. (voiced by Pat Fraley) and Eddie Spencer Jr. (voiced by Peter Cullen) are the sons of the original Ghost Busters, and they team up with Tracy the Gorilla (voiced by Lou Scheimer), who once worked alongside their fathers. Their engine is simple and brisk: each episode sends the crew after ghosts, monsters and spooky schemes orchestrated by the sinister wizard Prime Evil (voiced by Alan Oppenheimer) and his bumbling henchmen. The series runs as a single season of 65 half-hour episodes, a classic case-of-the-week format in which standalone adventures keep the threat lively without demanding a continuous storyline. Set in an unspecified present-day-style world rather than a particular historical era, it plays its paranormal premise for family-friendly laughs, with bright, cartoonish visuals and a whimsical, gently spooky atmosphere. Fans of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, The Real Ghostbusters and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will find a similar blend of saturday morning monster mischief and team-based adventure.
