## Synopsis

Shadow Love (2025) is a Chinese costume drama romance series created by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang for iQiyi, a single-season run of 38 episodes at roughly 42 minutes each. General Li Shuang (Song Yi) of Taijin finds a man who has lost his memory and names him Jin'an (Cheng Lei), who devotes himself to accompanying the general. As Jin'an slowly regains his past, he learns that he is actually a prince from an enemy nation, and the two lovers are pushed toward open battle. Supporting roles include Bi Wenjun as Su Muyang, Shi Ce as Lu Xin, Darren Chen as Mo Yin, Gao Maotong as Jiran, and Zhao Yuanyuan as Empress Dowager Qin. The engine of the story is a bond that must survive divided loyalties, with each episode weaving court intrigue, memory recovery and wartime tension around a couple who must test what they believe in. Set in an invented ancient Chinese kingdom, the drama is built on sweeping palace politics and tender, melancholic romance. Its tones of longing and resolve sit within a historical world of armies, courts and vows. Fans of The Untamed, Eternal Love and Story of Yanxi Palace will find resonance in its blend of romance, loyalty and period spectacle.
