## Synopsis

Eastwick (2009) is an American supernatural drama series created by Maggie Friedman for ABC. Rebecca Romijn plays Roxie Torcoletti, one of three very different women whose lives are upended when a mysterious stranger, Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross), arrives in a small New England town and unleashes unique powers in each of them. Lindsay Price as Joanna Frankel and Jaime Ray Newman as Kat Gardener round out the central trio, each navigating her own marriage, family, and private desires while the magic reshapes the town around them. Sara Rue and Veronica Cartwright add further weight to the community's tangled relationships. The engine of the show is the tension between newfound power and the ordinary obligations of small town life, with each episode built around the women testing what their gifts can do and what they cost. Across eleven one-hour episodes the series mixes gentle romance, sly humor, and a quietly eerie undercurrent. Its tone is warm and sometimes wistful, with a cozy witchy atmosphere that sits closer to a female friendship drama than to horror. Fans of Charmed and the more sensual supernatural soap of True Blood will find resonance here. The series was canceled after a single season, leaving its story unfinished.
