## Synopsis

Whatever Happened to... Robot Jones? (2002-2003) is a short-run American animated comedy created by Greg Miller for Cartoon Network. Robot Jones, a robotic teenager voiced by Bobby Block, attends an ordinary suburban middle school, where he tries to blend in among classmates and navigate the everyday puzzles of childhood while his machine logic keeps colliding with human social rules. Kyle Sullivan voices Socks Morton and Myles Jeffrey voices Cubey Cubinacle, his friends who help him through the daily chaos of classes, schoolyard rivalries and odd adventures. Gary LeRoi Gray voices Roger, and David Koechner voices Clancy Sleepyjeans in supporting roles. The format is episodic, with each short episode of roughly eleven minutes built around a fresh school problem, so the show is easy to watch in any order. Its retrofuturist setting, with mid-century gadgetry and a sci-fi edge, gives the series a playful, slightly nostalgic look. The tone stays gentle, quirky and cheerful, with light absurdist humor aimed at kids and families. Fans of Invader Zim, The Fairly OddParents and Dexter's Laboratory will find similar kid-friendly cartoon energy here.
