## Synopsis

Women in Blue (2024-present) is a Mexican crime drama series created by Pablo Aramendi and Fernando Rovzar for Apple TV. Set in 1971 Mexico City, it follows María (Bárbara Mori), Ángeles (Ximena Sariñana), Valentina (Natalia Téllez) and Gabina (Amorita Rasgado), four women who defy ultraconservative norms to join the city's first female police force. Their department turns out to be a publicity stunt meant to distract the press from a serial killer, and as the body count rises the women make a pact to pursue the killer themselves. Leonardo Sbaraglia and Miguel Rodarte play male officers whose loyalties and motives complicate every step. The engine is simple and gripping: four outsiders fighting for credibility inside a corrupt institution while the case grows darker. Each season follows the investigation as a serialized arc with brisk pacing and steady tension. Its tone mixes gritty procedural suspense with period atmosphere, lending a lived-in sense of 1970s Mexico. Fans of Mindhunter, Unbelievable and Las Muñecas de la Mafia will find resonance in its true crime grounding and its women breaking into a hostile system.
