## Synopsis

Revival (2025) is a Canadian-American supernatural mystery series created by Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce for Syfy and CTV Sci-Fi Channel. Melanie Scrofano plays local officer and single mother Dana Cypress, who is thrown into the center of a brutal murder case in a rural Wisconsin town where the recently deceased have suddenly risen from their graves. Romy Weltman plays her sister-in-law Em Cypress, David James Elliott plays Wayne Cypress, and Mark Little plays Brent Gunderson, while Andy McQueen's Ibrahim Ramin and Steven Ogg's Blaine Abel add further pressure within the investigation. The revived return looking and acting just as they once did, so this is no zombie story, but a cold, uneasy investigation in which every resident, living or not, may be a suspect. Dana must make sense of the chaos while a town gripped by fear and confusion turns on itself. The ten-episode season is one continuing serialized story rather than a case-of-the-week format, with gradual reveals layered into each hour. The tone is bleak, eerie and suspenseful, with a noir sensibility and wintry rural atmosphere. Fans of The Returned, Wayward Pines and Twin Peaks will find resonance in its blend of small-town dread and genre mystery.
