## Synopsis

Atomic (2025) is a British spy thriller limited series created by Gregory Burke, Alfie Allen, Shazad Latif and Samira Wiley for Sky Atlantic. Across five episodes of roughly forty-three minutes each, free-spirited drug smuggler Max (Alfie Allen) is drawn into an unlikely partnership with JJ (Shazad Latif), an enigmatic outsider on the run. Their engine is simple and urgent: they want out, yet every move pulls them deeper into a high-stakes mission to traffic highly enriched uranium across North Africa and the Middle East. Cassie Elliott (Samira Wiley) is among the principal figures tracking the chaos as the CIA, MI6 and a global web of opposing forces close in. The story unfolds as a single continuing arc, with each episode tightening the net around the pair. The tone is propulsive and breathless, with a gritty, globe-trotting energy and moments of dark humour amid the danger. Fans of Traitors, Money Heist and Spooks will find resonance in its blend of international intrigue, criminal improvisation and agencies closing in on civilians caught in the middle.
