## Synopsis

Wildboyz (2003-2006) is an American reality comedy series created by Jeff Tremaine for MTV2 and MTV, spun off from the Jackass franchise. Hosted by Chris Pontius and Steve-O, with Johnny Knoxville, Manny Puig and Jason Acuña appearing in various episodes, the show sends its daredevil cast on globe-trotting trips to places such as India, Mexico, Africa, Thailand and Argentina. Presented as a nature show with a Jackass twist, each eighteen-minute episode pairs documentary-style wildlife footage with stunts that put the hosts face to face with dangerous animals and unpredictable locales. The engine is simple: the hosts chase a wild encounter and the comedy comes from how far they will push themselves for a laugh. Across four seasons and thirty-two episodes, it runs as a brisk episodic series rather than a continuing story, so viewers can dip in anywhere. Guest appearances from David Hasselhoff, Tony Hawk and Method Man add celebrity cameo spice. The tone is irreverent, loud and gleefully reckless, with a mock-earnest nature-documentary voice undercutting every stunt. Fans of Jackass, The Crocodile Hunter and Viva La Bam will find the same mix of bravado, slapstick and wildlife peril.
