## Synopsis

Trauma (2009-2010) is an American network medical drama created by Dario Scardapane for NBC. Its single season of eighteen episodes follows the trauma team of San Francisco City Hospital, led by paramedic Reuben 'Rabbit' Palchuck (Cliff Curtis) alongside Cameron Boone (Derek Luke), Nancy Carnahan (Anastasia Griffith) and EMT Tyler Briggs (Kevin Rankin). Their engine is the race against the clock: each emergency pulls them into a new crisis, whether a fall from the city's towering heights or a rescue in the cold waters of the San Francisco Bay. Each episode is built around a fresh call and the personal stakes it brings for the crew, who must balance grueling physical work with the emotional cost of saving lives. The city itself is a character, with its hills, bridges and waterfront shaping every mission. The tone is urgent and gritty, with an earnest conviction that the work gives meaning to the lives of those who do it. Fans of ER, Third Watch and Rescue Me will find resonance in its blend of procedural medicine and emergency-room adrenaline. The series is a standalone case-of-the-week procedural with serialized character threads, and it sits firmly within the tradition of American first responder television.
