## Synopsis

Bet (2025-present) is a Canadian serialized teen thriller created by Simon Barry for Netflix. At a private boarding school where gambling determines social status, a skillful new student named Yumeko (Miku Martineau) arrives with a mysterious past and starts reshaping the pecking order. Her plan turns on wagers, and each episode follows the stakes, alliances and betrayals that unfold as she pits rival students against one another. Ryan (Ayo Solanke), Mary (Eve Edwards) and Kira (Clara Alexandrova) are among the classmates drawn into her games, while the school's social climbers and power brokers scramble to protect their standing. The series is a single season of ten episodes, shaped around a continuing revenge arc rather than standalone cases. Its tone is tense and glossy, with a heightened, absurd edge that runs through its high-stakes confrontations. Viewers who enjoy the cutthroat games of Kakegurui, the elite school scheming of Gossip Girl, or the teen mystery of Riverdale will find a similar appetite for manipulation and status anxiety here. The show is a mixed-reception entry, and its ongoing story leaves its central revenge plot open.
