## Synopsis

The Creep Tapes (2024-present) is a United States found footage horror series created by Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice for Shudder and AMC+. Mark Duplass plays Peachfuzz, a secluded serial killer who lures videographers into his world with the promise of a paid job documenting his life. Each story is built from footage the victims shoot, and the camera becomes both their tool and their trap as the killer's odd behavior grows more unsettling. Supporting players rotate through the tapes, with Mike Luciano, Josh Fadem and David Dastmalchian appearing in individual episodes. The engine is the slow erosion of trust: the victims want a steady paycheck and a good story, while the audience watches the danger accumulate behind a friendly, awkward host. The series runs three seasons of six episodes each, a run of short, twenty-six minute episodes that tie loosely into one ongoing world. Its tone is uneasy and intimate, shot in a grubby, handheld, shot on video style that feels like someone else's recovered footage. Viewers who enjoy the bleak intimacy of The Poughkeepsie Tapes, the awkward menace of Creep and the handheld dread of Man Bites Dog will find resonance here, though it works more as a series of escalating encounters than a single story.
