## Synopsis

Countdown (2025) is an American action thriller limited run created by Derek Haas for Prime Video. When a Department of Homeland Security officer is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum (Jensen Ackles) is pulled into a secret task force alongside undercover agents from every branch of law enforcement. Amber Oliveras (Jessica Camacho), Nathan Blythe (Eric Dane) and Evan Shepherd (Violett Beane) are among the principal investigators whose paths cross as the hunt for the killer widens. The engine of the series is a ticking clock: each episode tightens the investigation as the team uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone expected, with the goal of stopping it before a city of millions is endangered. Its shape is a single season of thirteen episodes, a serialized procedural that moves briskly from one clue to the next. Set in present day Los Angeles, the show plays as a glossy, tense, action-driven crime story with a bold, urgent register and a clean, earnest view of American law enforcement. Fans of 24, Chicago P.D. and Fringe will find resonance in its conspiracy-driven pacing, undercover maneuvering and high-stakes urban dread. The series was canceled after its single season, leaving its central investigation unfinished.
