## Synopsis

Little Disasters (2025) is a British psychological thriller miniseries created by Ruth Fowler for Paramount+. Adapted from a novel, the six-episode limited series follows A&E doctor Liz, played by Jo Joyner, who faces an excruciating choice when her close friend Jess, played by Diane Kruger, brings her baby to hospital with an unexplained head injury. Liz decides to call social services, and that single act sets off an explosive chain of consequences that tests a circle of friendship, trust and motherhood. Shelley Conn, Emily Taaffe, Patrick Baladi and Stephen Campbell Moore fill out the surrounding circle, while JJ Feild and Ben Bailey Smith add pressure from outside it. Each hour tightens the screws through hospital corridors, kitchen-table confrontations and institutional interviews, building a claustrophobic, dread-filled tension in which every character is hiding something. The tone is intense and morally knotty, a domestic suspense story in the vein of The Undoing and Big Little Lies, where the question is not only what happened but who can be trusted to tell the truth.
