## Synopsis

The Rainmaker (2025-present) is a US legal drama series adapted from a novel and produced for USA Network. Fresh out of law school, idealistic lawyer Rudy Baylor (Milo Callaghan) takes on the courtroom veteran Leo Drummond (John Slattery) while navigating a complicated history with his former law school girlfriend Sarah Plankmore (Madison Iseman). Rudy works alongside his blunt boss Jocelyn 'Bruiser' Stone (Lana Parrilla) and a rumpled paralegal, Deck Shifflet (P.J. Byrne), whose unconventional methods keep the team scrambling. Their engine is a pursuit of the truth behind a client's family tragedy, where every courtroom gambit exposes further layers of hidden dealings. The series unfolds as a serialized, two-season story told in a steady, suspenseful register, with tense confrontations and a grounded, slow-building sense of unease. Set in a present-day American legal landscape, it combines the procedural rhythm of courtroom drama with the momentum of a conspiracy thriller. Fans of Better Call Saul, The Good Wife and The Firm will find resonance in its underdog lawyer perspective and its patient unraveling of institutional secrets.
